Being There: At 3am an Explosion of lightning hit behind my camera and pulsed for a few seconds in the midst of this 6 minute exposure of Morro Rock. In effect this was a Gigantic Flash that lit up the face of the Rock and even froze the waves that were rolling in. On the left side of the image you can see a bolt shooting into the scene, further adding to this otherworldly capture. The sky had temporarily opened during the stormy weather and revealed the moonlit blue atmosphere with star trails above the of the most mysterious and powerful images I've created!
